POS mode and role selection
Choose Restaurant POS or Retail POS and select your staff role for the session.
After login, the app configures the interface according to your business workflow and staff responsibilities.
Step 1 — Select operating mode
The app prompts you to choose:

| Restaurant POS | Table management, KOT, bill settlement, kitchen display |
| Retail POS | Counter sales, till management, inventory, instant invoicing |

For table waiter workflows, select Restaurant POS.
Step 2 — Select your role
Choose your active role for the current session:
| Role | Dashboard |
|---|---|
| Waiter / Captain | Table floor, take orders, send KOT, mark served, checkout |
| Kitchen Staff | Kitchen Display System (KDS) — incoming KOTs and status updates |
Your dashboard and available actions change based on the role selected.
Changing mode or role later
You can switch operating mode (Restaurant vs. Retail) or sign out and back in with a different role from Settings.
